| New work was created for the same "Anti-War Medals" exhibit in which "Peace... Like a Dove" was featured. The new work features many of the same elements as the previous work except that the back more closely mirrors the opposite of the front. The enameled back is darker and the copper was colored with a heat patina and hammered. Sharp branches jut beyond the shape of the medal so that they can be seen from the front without appearing hazardous. This recreation of the previous work is also intended for a peacemaker with the hidden side of the medal worn close to the wearers' heart to remind them of the threat of war even in peacetime. |
